Yep, Donna, it's going to be cold here tonite! As I pointed out last week,
I was expecting another freeze, since my saucer magnolia is in bloom and the
bletilla striata is just beginning to open some flowers. Does this to me
every year! At least I hadn't moved anything outside yet.
I heard the horticulturist from the extension service say on the radio today
that our average last frost date has been officially moved from April 7 to
March 21. She commented that it used to be about that, and then was moved
forward several years ago. I never really thought about it, but I guess
after several years of above or below average temperatures, the average
would change. Just a little bit of trivia that I found interesting. (but
then, I'm easily amused.)
