RE: Thrips in Arizona....

There is a new product on the market called Sluggo that is pet safe. It is
made from Iron instead of methaldihyde. I have been very pleased with it.
Also for folks that don't mind - Deadline granules work great when trying to
cover a large area. I use a hand held whirlybird fertilizer spreader to
apply it in the nursery where potted Hostas and other (slug's) choice
perennials are like a banquet table for the critters.

Good Morning..

Well..the hostas are up and starting to unfurl..so therefore...SLUG time!!
Does anyone know of a good way to battle them without resorting to the
poisions?
I will if I have to..but really hate it..and I have so many hostas (about 60
or so) that it would take a lot of chemicals..

Thanks..
Kay
