Good evening everyone.....
Wow..the "moving the garden" post sure has drawn an interest....I know as a
gardener, that moving was one of the most painful things I have done..I diid
just that last June.....had just got my garden "almost" *grin* the way I
wanted and along came an old stone/wood house with wonderful soil ! I could
not say No! And the first thing I moved was 1/2 of every type of plant I had
(I lost nothing) was blessed with 2 weeks of overcast rainy weather..worked
outsidee..happily...in the pouring rain and moved all of the ones I
wanted....I also had left enough that the next year the old garden would
still be beautiful....So..I went back to clean the old house and the landlord
had torn everything out and threw it in the trash..I cried..amazing how some
people cannot appreciate things..I got them..brought them over to my new
housee and put them in....turned out beautiful....but I am still saddened by
the memory of having to do that....My new garden is full of new possibilities
and is already beautiful, so it was well worth it...
Thanks for reminding me of this...
Kay
