You MUST remove all the all green stems from the clump in spring- otherwise they will out grow the white edged stems and smother them out.
This is a great sedum I really love it.
The green stems can be removed by pulling them out of the crown, do this by taking hold of the stem with both hands and using steady pressure pull them up until they pull out of the ground. I like to plant the green ones in some moist sand and root them because they too are attractive sedums in the landscape.
Mine are just starting to poke their way out of the ground and they look like a cluster of white hen and chicks.
