Re: hakonechloa macra


It seems that it can behave in an unpredictible manner. I had three clumps in 
a semi shaded bed that lazed along for about three years. I decided a year 
ago to move them somewhere that they might be happier . In the process I must 
have left some roots behind. By last fall those errant roots had sent out 
runners 15 ft and it has taken over the bed while the original clumps are 
still limping along. Maybe you have to be mean to it to get it to spread?
