Re: hakonechloa macra

Thanks, Marge. I saw on an internet search that you had it listed in an
article, but couldn't access it, so I was hoping you'd respond.

My biggest challenge will probably be keeping the soil moist enough. It's
lovely soil, once part of a wooded area, but on a slope so it dries out
quickly. Hostas, platycodon, wood hyacinths, echinacea and bletilla are
growing well there, so I'd say it's part shade.

I found several mail orders sources, but haven't yet found out if anyone
local carries it. Looks like prices are around $9-10 for a 4" pot, and $15
or so for a gallon. No way I can afford enough for what I'd like to do. I
wonder if a gallon pot would be dividable...Maybe I could find something in
a similar hue and combine them somehow.
