Re: plants deer LOVE

Roses don't surprise me a bit as they are a favorite food of my herd
who browse the wild roses growing in the woods as a matter of course.
Have not had them go after my conifers, but have heard of them
decimating Juniper spp. Can't imagine anything more prickly to eat.

Tried the wire mesh on the ground - did not notice it helped. Only
thing that really keeps them off my yews, azaleas and rhodies is to
fence the individual groups of plants...incredibly tedious and
marvelous to behold...hubby says garden resembles concentration camp
in winter.

It is my unfounded on scientific fact belief that if I could afford
to put a 6' high solid wood fence around the property, they would
stay off as they won't jump where they can't see a safe landing
space..tho' they can sale right over something 10' tall if they can
see through it - found that out. Sigh...the eternal quest to
outsmart bambi...
