The bamboo sounds like a good idea, Marge. None of this is practical,
though, for my 7 acres n the middle of the woods. The deer and I just have
to learn to live with each other. They're so brazen that they'll come within
5 feet of the house to drink from the birdbath. And this winter they were
standing on the ice in my small ornamental pond to get at the bordering
plants. And I agree with you on not wanting to hurt them. They're gorgeous
animals.
