Re: Rebecca Kolls & rustic garden structures

Anyway, so far I have not learn much from her or Martha.
Have you?

Nancy,
I would agree that Rebecca Kolls doesn't go into a lot of depth on any one
subject....but I do learn things from her, like the cooking and flower
arranging segments, which I know little about. I appreciate some of her
tips that are related to weather and plant hardiness, as she's from my
area...zone 4a.

One recent segment that I liked a lot was broadcast a couple days ago where
she interviewed Richard Meacock, a local landscaper and part-owner of Squire
House Gardens in Afton, MN. She helped him build a rustic arch out of
driftwood/branches. I was very interested in this because I've been to that
nursery and have even made drawings of some of their rustic arches so I
could make some. I really like rustic garden structures! I've done a
little bit of it myself, but I plan to try my hand at using his method this
spring.

BTW, where do you live?

p.s. Any of you pixlisters have pix of garden structures you've made and/or
admire? I'd love to see them!
