Victory Garden

Hello Spring Watchers,
Traveling around NewEngland to the Flower Shows, I have learned thatg
theVictory Garden (on PBS) has coming a complete replacement of cast.
Roger Swain is gone, Russell Morash the producer is gone, Marion the chef is
gone and all are replaced by some landscaper who wrote a book emtitled "The
New Traditional Gardener", author and new host Michael Weishan.
Mr. Weishan is a landscaper and not a horticulturist. We need the Julia
Child of Horiticulture, a plant person or another (and the nearly last)
program with some intelligence is off TV.
Everyone write to WGBH, Boston and ask for a real Horticlturist host or that
is the last PBS garden program aimed at true gardeners. Two on HGTV are
always in repeat, Journal (Canadian) and Diary ( uneven) may also bite the
dust.
Do we want clowns and elementary demonstrations. Write to WGBH and ask for a
Crockett type program. He broke gound on the PGB Victory Garden and has not
been equalled. Alas!
