Argh! I regret that Roger Swain will not be on V. G., but will not miss
Marion and the cooking portion of the show at all. Some of the travelogues
as well were slightly interesting, but I really miss the down-to-earth (or
down-in-the soil) nitty gritty of gardening for real people with
non-extensive properties and no staff of laborers.
They MUST be able to find some actual growers, gardeners, and
horticulturists! How about a guest host every week? Like one from a
different background - like a pruning expert, an annuals guru, home
vegetable grower, and, of course, a perennial expert? Or feature a different
section of the country with its unique growing conditions? Where do we
write?
