Bulbs are blooming!!! Ranunculus?

Hi folks,

Well, my first bulbs are blooming, and I wanted to share pictures with you. You
can check them out at this link:

The annuals haven't really kicked in yet, a few blooms here and there. Hope they
get it in gear in the next 5 weeks!!! Many of the bulbs will be gone by then.

I have a question on ranunculus. Do you know what it might be that they add to the
soil to make the blossoms so big and fat? I mean, mine come back every year, but
they are never as big as the ones you see in pots at the nurseries. Is there
something they amend to the soil?
