I agree. The combination of cut foliage and simple flowers is what I
like too. I love the woodland Anemone nemerosa and Anemone
sylvestris. I like the later autumn Anemones, particiularly some of
the simpler ones like Anemone tomentosa. I have been trying to
succeed with the many forms of Anemone narcissiflora which I should
think would succeed with you as it grows in places like Alaska, I
believe. It's really rather warm and dry for them here. I'm also very
pleased that I seem to have got the more alpine Anemone obtusiloba
and A. trullifolia to survive the winter for the first time and also
Anemone flaccida. One Anemone I'd love to find is Anemone rupicola.
Whenever I think I've located it it turns out to be another imposter!
