Hello Susan,
In this neck of the woods Collinsia verna was known as 'Chinese Houses'.
It is an annual. Omphalodes verna is blue eyed mary. However, I soon saw all
the confusion and now I go with Omphalodes being creeping forget me not,
Collinsia verna is blue eyed mary.
Keep trying on moving some Collensia into the garden. Try to match the
environment you dug the plant from. I have seen seed on occasion in the
past... usually with the native wildflower bunches. I get requests for it
ever once in a while, but it is an annual, so unless all is sold in early
spring... I am left with lots of empty pots. Once people learn it is an
annual they back off of the purchase in any case.
