Beth - I highly recommend Pam Duthie's Continuous Bloom which came out about 2
years ago in hardcover at $39.95 and even more expensive plasticized, spiral
soft cover (for use in the garden). I find it very helpful. Each color page is
for one plant and gives information on Flower, Foliage, Bloom length, Height,
width and spacing, Also light, care, uses, propagation, problems and "COMBINES
WITH:".
The book is arranged by months and there are some very useful appendices at the
back.
I also use it as a kind of notebook. I put a sticky label (about 1"x3") on the
pages of those plants I have in my garden and then record (on the label) the
date of bloom each year. That approach can't last forever -- about 4 years will
fit on a label --but it is a help until I can record it in a more permanent
setting
