RE: books on plant combinations ?

My absolute favorite to date is the one by C. Colston Burrell -- and I can't remember the name. Perennial Combinatiosn???

Wonderful pictures, complete plant names and plants that bloom at the same time in the same conditions. It is INSPIRING.

Subject: books on plant combinations ?

What books can anyone recommend on plant combinations ? Something with lots
of ideas... I have a variety of perennials, but seem to have lonely looking
plants primarily early in the season. (although there is still snow on the
ground here, I know spring is coming !). Last year I said I was going to
note what was in bloom at the same time so that I could do some re-arranging
/ regrouping, but I discovered in part that I just lacked other plants in
bloom at the same time to move... (oh darn, I'm going to have to buy more
plants - grin!)...and in my neighborhood, there are not really any other
gardeners from whom to gather inspiration. Some problem examples from last
year- euphorbia polychronum needs companions, Salvia May Night was glorious
but lonely, you get the idea... Thanks for any advice !
