Re: books on plant combinations ?


Beth,
If you want a book with stunning examples of gardens showing "goes with",
you might consider "Shocking Beauty" by Thomas Hobbs (published 1999,
Raincoast Books), about $50.00 Canadian.
This is a gorgeous "coffee table" type book; the pictures will knock your
sox off.  There are pictures from many nurseries, including some from
Heronswood Nursery; and many gardens, including the author's in Vancouver,
BC.
There are lots of ideas in this book, but it isn't a book with long lists of
plants or "how to" garden.
I "discovered" this book while in Victoria recently; it's hard to resist!
