I haven't the history handy but this plant does have a checkered history.
Numerous clones, that is supposedly clones, are sold under this name and many
will differ in size and color.
Don't you thing the the word blue in 'Johnson's Blue' is the seller of this
plant? Every one that I have had grows around two feet higj (60 cm.for our
UK friends), flowers and flops open. It is then cut back and does nothing
for the rest of the summer except look bad..
Yet, I have read descriptions of this plant that are glowing plus I have seen
labelled plants growing in places that are not what I have bought.
I would appreciate any testimonials of hardy geraniums that are compact and
true to descriptions. Also, do others find these need to be divided and
reset to look good almost annually.
