Well Marilyn and everyone else,
I darted outside after retreiveing the 3 yo from pre-school. No tag left
on the combs speedwell and no clue was afforded by any books in the house
(and you'd think with the library I've collected I'd have a picture and a
name in one of them!)
So I did a bit a surfing using google.com and comb speedwell - it appears
to be Veronica pectinana, aka Wooly Speedwell! evergreen mat former and
blue flower par excellence! Wooly is a very good description for this one,
I find myself wanting to stroke it!
I have entered it my garden note book and I should take some pictures in
bloom later this year.
I wonder how much location, water and soil vary colors - I have two of the
same daylily in two VERY different spots and the colors are different -
especially if you take one bloom to the other plant!
Cheryl
