RE: Blue Flowers

Lorna,
Yes, the early flush of bright blue is wonderful. Have you seen the one
called 'Benediction'? It is hard to find, but worth the hunt. The flowers
are the MOST intense cobalt and do not change to pink as so many of the
Pulmonarias do. The leaves are soft and furry, dark green with no spots.
It is my favorite P.
Another good one with rich blue flowers is 'Highdown'. It has large furry
leaves with dime size white spots. However in my climate it is prone to
mildew. I just cut the foliage off and it will regrow with a nice flush of
clean leaves.
The Pulmonarias are in full bloom now.

 Marilyn

I grow pulmonarias and they are a bluish color and do great in a shady rich
bed....I would recommend them as the foliage is also outstanding on these
gorgeous plants.
