Yes, Alan Haskell. He is an incredible resource. I had a chance to chat with him
a few years ago. He's a true plantsman and lives for (and at) his nursery. Never
leaves the area, no vacations, not even to hort. things if they are too far away.
He has some plants there that must cost thousands, enormous vines, etc. A great
eye for display. The garden at the RI show was the centerpiece and was sublime. I
do recommend the RI show. Easy to get to, parking right there and reasonable
rates. Besides, Providence is a neat city to visit, some very very good
restaurants. Recommend the Biltmore Hotel.
