Hello,
I find it a bit difficult not to have some hardy geraniums around the
garden . They are such an easy answer to so many problems in garden design
and color. For the shade garden, and as companions with your pulmonaria,
have you looked into the G. sylvaticum? I have the white form in two
locations in my garden. Nice, cut, apple green foliage with snow white
glistening blooms in a shady corner... nice. Also the cultivar 'Amy
Doncaster' in violet-blue with a white eye. There are pink forms as well.
I keep adding pulmonaria to my nursery inventory, but I must confess
that they are very slow movers. They do eventually get sold, but I keep
threatening to drop them from the line. If I were not so crazy about them
for bloom in the late winter, early spring garden, then wonder foliage the
rest of the seasons, I would drop them give the room to something that turns
over quicker.
