Plant the Lychnis coronaria high and dry.  Mix some sand into the planting 
area and keep the plant higher than ground level, maybe a few rocks 
creatively.

It will seed all over the garden and find places that it likes to grow.

L. cornonaria rots here, too, if not planted in good drainage.  It is so 
fertile that some always survive.  Marge gave me some of her white ones and 
both do well if planted on slopes.
