vermiculite, add perlite

Perlite is also classed by OSHA as a carcinogen as the fine particles,
crystalline silica are required to carry a MSDS certificate.

Both are classed by OSHA as requiring a MSDA certificate. (Material Data
Safety Sheet)

I have been using this stuff for years and I guess I will stop.

Peat is hard to use if allowed to dry so kept ourdoors and moistened
occasionally, added to sand ought to be OK. You can search MSDA products on
various databases. It seems like it is probably not a good idea to use
quantities of either of these to mix potting soils. We have done so for many
years. Peat dry and fine causes reactions if breathed in quantity. Seed
starter mixes are not required to put MSDA info on the bags. Some have
wetting agents not wanted for some seeds. Yuk.

Bad day with the seeds.
