New direction for hort.net

Hi everyone,

I've been working on revamping a lot of the features of hort.net (including
this mailing list) and am looking for people to bounce questions and ideas
off of.

Everything will be moving towards a tiered membership-based setup --
you'll still be able to do everything that you can do now for free.
Paying members will get cool extra features (that haven't been determined
yet :) )

What the membership-based setup does is provide more control over your
messages.  You'll be able to choose whether or not your email address
can be displayed in the archives, if your name should be hidden or not,
have your hardiness zone automatically added to your messages, etc.
These are the things that I need help deciding policy on.

If you're interested in participating, please send an email to 

   majordomo@hort.net

with the body of your message containing the single line

   subscribe admin

You'll receive a message asking you to confirm your subscription; just
respond and you'll be in.
