Hello Marilyn & Donna,
No long list of blooms here. We just received our first week of warm
weather. Latest spring we have had since I began gardening and kept records.
I am located on the north side of a hill, so that delays things just a bit
as well.
With the new warmth and a couple of relatively warm rains, things began
popping day before yesterday. Hellebores that were held back are now
reacting like popcorn. You can almost watch the bloom come up through the
mulch. Christmas roses blooms are a bit smaller than past years, but
plentiful and... blooming at the same time as the garden hybrids. Of course,
the H. foetidus has been in bud and blooming through all of the cold
weather. Few of the new buds got blasted, but otherwise just fine..... It
looks as though bloom times are going to be pushed together ... things held
back and what would bloom normally this time of the year are going to do it
all together this time around. Should be quite a show.
