Me too, Linda, Tete-a-Tete and Little Beauty. And we heard the first tree
frog today, saw the first toad hunting for bugs under the sidewalk light this
evening, and watched the nightcrawlers emerge onto the sidewalk tonight.
Spring must be close after this harsh winter so many of us experienced.

Pulmonarias are putting out new leaves, my new corydalis are sprouting (and
Corydalis ex dufu temple did not lose its leaves all winter), poppies
emerging, larkspur seedlings unharmed by the snow and ice, bloodroot tips
showing, some of the hellebores fully open, most showing color in the flower
buds, and of course the crocus, snowdrops, and iris reticulate have been open
for several days. Winter aconites about finished.

And I've spent many hours the past few mild days removing the green mulch,
which came through winter with new vigor and determination.
