Merri, it should behave for you the same as for me as you're in a
colder zone. I think Tony recommended dead-heading to stop
seedlings, but I've not seen any and he's a zone warmer than I
am...he says "7" but it's a lot warmer "7" than mine is.
Enjoy...it's a neat plant. Gets tall. Last year, for some reason,
mine shot up to about 10' and then the stems bent, so I had to cut
them off about 6' (the height it usually gets). They leafed out
again and it bloomed same as usual, but I have no clue why it decided
to skyrocket like that - didn't feed it or do anything different for
it; never feed it. Obviously, even the very sturdy stems it produces
weren't strong enough to keep it upright at that height....weird...
