Re: Japanese knotweed or Polygonum cuspidatum

I'm looking forward to this plant, Marge.  It's in a very large bed that
includes a native Joe Pye which gets close to 12 feet, native asters and
goldenrod, Aster tartaricus, ironweed, Aster laevis 'Bluebird', two native
Heleniums (H. flexuosum and my mind has gone blank on the other), Panicum
'Rotstrahlbush', and a large sweep of purple Echinacea (I've forgotten the
cultivar) interplanted with Patrinia scabisifolia.  I also replant a section
of this bed every year with 3 Salvia 'Indigo Spires', which grow enormous.
The whole thing is quite a late summer/fall show.
