Hi Cheryl:
Here in 6b Bucks County,Pa, the door to my springhouse was frozen shut by
ground that heaved soo high. Had to save my water supply so the door will
need some major repair. Also the gravel drive heaved soo high that I could
not get the garage doors open; carriage type, not overhead. Usually keep the
cars out, but when I wanted into the garage, it wasn't possible. First time
in three years for these events. Will try to fix so they are avoided in the
future.
Therefore, I imagine that deeep frost can move mountains.
Crocus and snowdrops appeared here only a week ago, soon after the snow
melted.
Welcome to the 2003 gardening season.
Walter in Bucks County
