Thank you Paul. Nothing I read mentioned waiting a year. I'll try the soak
and be a little more patient. All the information on ligularia has been
really an eye opener. Thanks to all who started and responded to the original
questions. It is one plant that really fascinates me since it is quite hardy
for my area.

First you have to have seed, it does not set seed very often.
Once you have real seeds, I would soak them for 2 days in water.
Start with hot water and soak the seeds, and change the water every 12 hours
or so with fresh hot water.
Sow and use 55-70F,and wait. Sometimes it might take a year or more.
Keep the medium moist at all times, does not need to be wet, just don't let
dry out.
