Greetings,
Another reason for spraying oils early or late was mentioned on the Orchid
List is that the bees aren't out. Since we all rely on pollination ( my mom
said that's how I got here_altho my dad said something about bees) and with
the diseases the honeybees have had, it seems a wise move to protect them. In
regards to bees I put up several Mason Bee blocks over the past few years and
now have quite a population of stingless pollinators.
