A University of Wisconsin entomologist has just pronounced on this very
subject--we will have high numbers of insects with the good (?) survival
of over-wintering eggs. Oh, those yucky earwigs. And Suday's paper told
of the happy deer, here, as well. But I enjoyed the mild winter, too.
I have crocus blooming on the south side of the house, but the cold has
returned. Snow this morning.
