Guess it all depends on the situation. I have friends that have an oakleaf
in full sun on a hot, dry south-facing slope that has spread and flourished.
I have other friends who have them in deep shade and they are probably eight
feet high and wide. Mine are in high shade, they get bright light and are
doing well. This is only the second year for them, so I'll just have to
wait and see.
