Grandis....thats great. Not knowing if you have germinate your seeds
indoor or outside but sure to provide good air circulation and watch out
for slugs.

Once the true leaves have shown, wait until the leaves are around
0.25-0.5 inches in length and transplant them to a 72 cell pack. I wet
the seed pot and turn it upside down and pat it out. I then just break
off the section of the seed pot and carefully remove the Meconopsis from
the soil. Don't worry, some of the roots will break and some will pull
right apart( I replant them all). Punch a hole in each cell and place
one plant into a cell. Sometimes you might have two because the of the
being tangled which is ok. . When they get large enough, transplant
to outside or place them in 4 inch pot. Prior to transplanting, be
sure to harden off the plants.

Prep you bed with a good mixture of peatmoss and native soil. In one of
my beds, I have dug down 18inches and placed a 4 inch layer of pure
peatmoss at the bottom of the hole. For the rest of the filler, I have
mixed a ratio of 10%fine bark, 40% peat and 50%native soil.

Be sure to soak the soil when you are done.

Now place your plants in the soil.

When the plant is about to bloom, pinch off the flower at the bud.
Don't pinch off at the base of the plant because this will kill the
plant. Let several of the plants bloom to enjoy the large blue flower.
