Re: 70 to 25 in 48 hours, moving air, water


My 2 cents worth.. Water CONSUMES heat as it evaporates, however, it does
give off large amounts when it freezes - thus preventing temp from dropping
much below freezing. Air circulation helps because it prevents cold air
"pools" from forming. In very cold weather, wind is a problem because it
tends to dessicate foliage and buds, killing them (perhaps a coating of ice
is also beneficial because it prevents this).
