Well Ginny, I don't believe in gassing my beds and don't.
But saving chemicals for sidewalks and patios poses greater threats to
the groundwaters, in my opinion. Those areas are more frequently hosed
off and create greater runoff.
Weeding is not one of my favorite garden chores but even with Preen
there's weeding to be done. I have a neighbor with a HUGE ash tree that
relentlessly self-seeds every year. And they love the growing conditions
in my daff beds.
