Can I ask you some questions about your home nursery? Is it a retail
nursery? Where are you located? What do you specialize in? What months
are your open? Is the real job the one that takes 36 hrs/week, or the
nursery job? What IS the real job?
Thanks!

Mostly retail but some wholeslae.
Apple Valley Minnesota.
all kinds of perennials.
sell mail order and at the farmers markets here in the twin cities.
well winter does not end untill the secound week of April so that is when the
season starts, it ends in October.
The plants take 80 hours a week. this spring I have 20,000 maybe a few more
perennials to pot up and or plant out.
I coverd over 8,000 pots from last year.
the selling range in price for the plants I sell is 3.00 to 65.00
I prefere to sell quality instead of cheeply, so most of our custemers are
word of mouth.
thankful I am retiring from the "real" job this spring.
we have been selling perennials for 6 years and in that time have gotten one
bad check out of maybe 7,000 that we have received.
we have had to replace six plants so far- so returns have not been a problem.
winter is the hardist thing to contend with, plus getting the right soil for
the one gallon and 5" pots.
