Hi Margot,
The Nepeta is a snap -- You can just pull it apart, reseat the roots, cover
with soil, firm , and ta da.... a new plant or more.
As to the Lavandula - Lavender is a shrub --as with most woody shrubs, you can
saw through the woody base, and if you get wood attached to roots, you've got
new plants.
