I like and have had very good experience with Blue Stone Perennials. Tiny
plants available, cheap but establish more reliably than those more mature,
and received in very good shape. A great deal for my design that needed 20
of this and 30 of that! They also have larger plants, too.
I also like Forest Farms for woody ornamentals that can't be found
elsewhere, with two reservations. It costs more to ship larger plants from
Oregon to Michigan than to buy them, and secondly, I would have made some
different choices if I had better understood growth rates when I ordered.
The later isn't as much a factor with perennials, but for example, it takes
forever to grow a decent sized Holly, if you start you start from 6".
