Re: platycodon from seed

I'm hoping to start a large bed of platycodon (ballonflower) in our
garden this summer. I want to try growing it from seed to save $$.
Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? The bed will be
about 8x5, bordered on the sides by rhodo's and buddleia.
 Thanks in advance.

Here is how you save money-- you buy three nice large plants and plant them
in your bed this spring. they will flower very well for you this year and
then you collect the seed in the fall.
