I know that this may seem odd to those who have grown the various
lysimachia cultivars, but I would like to divide some that I have and plant
them in various places in my garden. I have the gooseneck lysimachia (l.
clethroides) and the circle flower (l. punctata). I am particularly
interested in propagating the circle flower.
Is it easy to dig up those runners and transplant them? The gooseneck is
running in the opposite direction that I would like for it to and the
circle flower is being smothered by seedlings from a coreopsis. Is this
the best time to transplant them?
I know about the evasive nature of this species; however, in the almost
pure clay I have these in, the spreading is not very remarkable. They are
in full sun and I purposely give them no attention. (this has not stopped
the spread of my obedient plant -- which is grossly misnamed -- but that's
another story...)
Thanks in advance!!
