Hi Ginny
http://www.vg.com/vg/timelife/cg/Books/E12/Html/E12032X%2Ehtml
has a picture also I grabbed this discription:
Calonyction aculeatum
C. aculeatum, also called Ipomoea alba (moonflower) <<<--- i know
Ipomoea related to the morning glories I also added {my experience}
Moonflowers are twining climbers with large heart-shaped leaves and white
trumpetlike blossoms, as large as 6 inches across, that open at sunset; the
flowers usually close {die, they close but never open again} before noon the
next day but remain open longer in cloudy weather. The genus name
Calonyction means "beautiful night," and moonflowers add to their visual
beauty with a heavy fragrance on summer evenings. Though they are
perennials in their native tropics and in Florida, they are grown as
annuals in Zones 3-8.
USES. Because they climb rapidly--10 feet or more in a single season--
moonflowers make excellent screens. They will grow in average garden
soil in full
sun.
HOW TO GROW. Moonflowers are difficult to transplant and need to be
started in
individual 3-inch peat pots eight weeks before the last frost is
due. To speed
germination, soak the seeds in water overnight before sowing them.
When night
temperatures will not drop below 50°, plant the seedlings outdoors,
pots and all, 9
to 12 inches apart, with an 8- to 10-foot sturdy trellis for them to
climb on.
