LATIN NAMES...
Thanks Susan, Pottsey, Cin, and Marge for the tips on Latin names! Believe
it or not, I AM getting better, but appreciate the web sites. (I'm Catholic,
so Latin isn't TOO unfamiliar! :~D ha! ha!)
POSTING...
Susan, I DO receive digest and forgot to delete the previous post...sorry!
:-(
MOONFLOWERS...
Leslie -- great site! I had more questions on planting moonflowers, but (the
list will be glad to hear!) your tip took care of them.
COMPOST...
Just spread the compost right over top of my mulch!? (It's shredded
hardwood.) Or should I scrap the mulch away, spread compost, then replace
the mulch?
STARTING SEEDS...
Recommendations or should I forget it? My lighting is limited to one
south-facing kitchen window or a flourescent light permanently mounted 1'
above a table top. No idea what soil(less?) mixture to plant in. Would it
help to know WHAT seeds I'd like to start?
GOOD NEWS!...
In Maryland, the daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips are sending up shoots. The
birds are buying up real estate properties. And the lilac bushes and crab
apple trees are showing buds. Whoopee!
