The local garden club is going to have C. simplex 'Hillside Black
Beauty' available at their spring plant sale. It looks like I can
happily restore it to the top of my "wanna" list. Anyone growing this
one?
It's also a relief to know that whatever it is I have won't smell
horrid through most of its bloom time and simply finish up with a
lovely, sweet scent. It also seems as if my big plans to extend the
"scent" season for this plant into mid-summer with other varieties
isn't going to work out too well. :)
Thanks for the info.
