I've been lurking around for a couple months and really enjoy the list,
especially all the wonderful sites that are mentioned.  Ordered books
last week from Powell as a direct result. Found one book that I had been
looking for for over eight years!

Dot asked if centranthus ruber would live in zone 7.  It grows nicely in
my Pine Level, NC garden.  It reseeds lightly and grows and blooms in
partial shade that is on the dry side (sandy soil).  Reaches a height of
18-24 inches.
