Centranthus is a bit weedy in my neighborhood. I consider it a welcome
weed as the butterflies enjoy it. It does grow well from seed and seedlings
can be found in some odd places that are hard to weed because of its long
thick roots and doesn't seem to divide or transplant easily here. In my yard
I have two different colors a warm rose and a cooler rose and I've seen the
white in the neighborhood on my walks. If anyone would like seeds, I'd be
happy to collect some after they begin this year. Don't know about zone
hardiness.
On another note I realized Bluestones offer (3 for 2) deadline is coming up
3/17 so I sent off an order; thanks to everyone for all the good catalog
advice that's come out on this forum.
Happy Growing
Kris in northern CA
