Barb,
I plan to soak my mass of tuberoses in a bucket of water until I can
separate them more easily. They do seem to be very brittle and will break
if you try to separate them dry. This may be heresy but I can't believe it
would hurt as long as they are not soaked to utter squishiness.

Thanks for your reply, Betty --
I'm still wondering about dividing these.
It's such a tight mass of bulblets and the roots are intertwined/meshed
together,
I thot I might try trimming the roots to see if I can separate them easier.
Yes, I plan to plant them in a large clay pot so I can take them inside in
the
fall.
Wish I knew an Irish blessing for St. Paddy's day.
Instead I can just give you my best wishes --
Barb
Have a cup of coffee on me & a few roses to brighten your day!
