Blooms a very long time; seems to really like heat/dryer conditions. I have
actually lost these plants in a wet winter. Their foliage seems to give a
hint to that (rather succulent-ish).

Shhh!! Don't tell my plant that. It is in a raised bed under a fir tree
here in Oregon (acid, acid soil, and kept that way with the fir needles) and
it is thriving. The bed does get supplemental water in the summer but runs
to dryer there with the tree and camellias stealing a lot. Growing with it
I have epimedium (yellow) and blue vinca. They are quite happy. The
fringed bleeding heart takes over later when all these have quit, as well as
a few dwarf hosta.
Mine is virtually in the same light conditions as your's will be. I have
the white, green and pink and hope to add the purple when they come down in
price!!!!

For mine is just a little old fashioned garden where the
flowers come together to praise the Lord and teach all
who look upon them to do likewise.
