Yes I remember when we had daylight savings time year round and I loved it.
I was able to get so much garden work done in March. They did that to save
energy. They stopped doing it because people complained about school
children waiting for buses in the dark in winter. Befor the year around
daylight savings time it was basically April 15-Oct 15 with a year or two in
between until they decided to try year round if I remember right. I always
remember which way to set my clock by reasoning that I have to pay for
having longer days and I get a free hour to compensate for the shorter days.
I hope that it warms up by then. People who want to end it tend to live on
the western side of a time zone. They already are an hour ahead. It's very
difficult for a person to do gardening if they work days when they don't
have daylight savings time at the eastern edge. When you only have one or
two nice days in a week it usually doesn'toccur on your days off. Those
people who don't want to go to work in the dark don't realize that other
people go home in the dark. It's really great to get up before sunrise.
